We Stutter in Every Dialect
Stuttering exists everywhere. Across languages, accents, communities, and dialects.
For this year’s International Stuttering Awareness Day, we’re bringing together people who stutter from across the Arab world and beyond. Each is speaking in the language, accent, or dialect that feels natural to them.

What Should You Say?
You can start with this simple line
Your Name
Where you are from
"I stutter"
"اسمي ___، أنا من ___، وأنا أتأتئ."
"My name is ___. I'm from ___. And I stutter."
That’s enough to take part.
Speak in Arabic or English, in your own accent or dialect, and at your own pace.
Want to Share a Little More?
This part is completely optional
You can also share one short sentence about yourself, your life, or your experience ending with:
“…and I stutter.”
For example:

I’m a mother… and I stutter.

I’m a manager… and I stutter.

I love speaking in front of people… and I stutter.
Choose one of these ideas or make it completely your own.
Before You Record
A few simple tips to help your video come through clearly
Natural Light
Face a window or light source if possible.
Vertical Video
Film in portrait mode. Stay centered in the frame, not too close or too far.
Clear Audio
Use a mic or ear set in a quiet place where your voice can be heard clearly.
Keep it Natural
One natural take is enough. It doesn’t need to be perfect.
There is no need to hide your stutter or re-record because of it.
Prefer Not To Show Your Face?
That is completely okay!
You can still take part without appearing on camera. Film from behind, focus on your hands or surroundings, or choose an angle that doesn’t show your face.
Prefer voice only? You can submit your audio, and we’ll pair it with a simple visual and your name on screen.
Your voice (in any accent or dialect) is what matters.
What Happens Next
We’ll review all submissions after submissions close on 25 September 2026.
Selected clips may be featured across The Stutter Community’s ISAD 2026 awareness campaign.
Not every submission will necessarily appear in the final campaign.
Every submission helps us represent more accents, dialects, places, and stuttering experiences from across our region and beyond.
